💰 Never pay to audition

Applying and auditioning on Indiwood is always free. No legitimate employer will ask you for a registration fee, joining fee, processing charge or "security deposit" to consider you for a role. If anyone asks you for money to audition or apply — on or off Indiwood — it is a scam. We automatically block opportunities that ask for fees, and remove any that slip through.

✓ Verified employers

Employers with a ✓ Verified badge have had their company identity reviewed by the Indiwood team. Indiwood does not guarantee employment and does not endorse employers unless they are explicitly marked verified. Treat unverified opportunities with normal caution: research the company, and prefer communicating through Indiwood.

🔒 Your contact details stay private

Your email and phone number are hidden by default. They are shown only if you opt in on your profile, or when an employer shortlists your application — a deliberate step that leaves a record. You control your visibility, and you can hide your profile entirely at any time.

🚩 Red flags to watch for

• • Requests for money at any stage — fees, deposits, "photoshoot packages"
• • Pressure to move immediately to WhatsApp or personal channels before anything is confirmed
• • Auditions at odd hours or non-professional locations
• • Guarantees of fame, roles or "direct entry" to films
• • Requests for inappropriate photos or videos

📣 Reporting

Every opportunity and profile has a Report option. Reports go straight to our moderation queue and are reviewed by a human. Repeat or serious offenders are removed from Indiwood. When in doubt, report — it takes ten seconds and protects the whole community.
